José Navas/Compagnie Flak Compagnie de danse contemporaine basée à Montréal et dirigée par le chorégraphe d’origine vénézuélienne José Navas. Auteur d’une trentaine d’oeuvres, il s’est d’abord fait remarquer par son audace et le caractère insolite de ses créations. Aujourd’hui, les mots qui définissent le mieux son travail sont: abstraction, sobriété, intensité et profondeur.

I came to see a studio showing of ‘S’ recently, and without having heard what inspired Navas, I felt completely transported. Watching the piece felt like a meditation and I came out of it feeling that I had been washed by the movement and that left bouyant in its wake.
